At approximately 30cm long, these dense and fibrous chews provide a rewarding chewing experience and are a great alternative to bully sticks. Unlike rawhide, Achilles tendons are fully digestible and naturally soften as your dog chews, making them an engaging and long-lasting option for enrichment.

Beef Tendons are composed of dense, Fibrous Connective Tissue. Unlike muscle meat (jerky) which is consumed quickly, tendons are designed to withstand tension. This means they provide a longer-lasting chewing experience as the fibres slowly separate, acting like a natural dental floss for your dog’s teeth.
Do Beef Tendons provide any joint support?
Yes. Tendons are a primary source of Bioavailable Glucosamine and Chondroitin. These are the natural building blocks of healthy cartilage. By feeding a Desiccated Protein like our Achilles tendons, you are providing your dog with functional nutrients that support joint mobility and ease inflammation naturally.
How do these support "Periodontal Health"?
Maintaining Periodontal Health (the health of the gums and structures around the teeth) requires more than just a crunch. As your dog chews a tendon, it softens into a brush-like texture. This allows the fibres to scrub deep into the crevices of the molars and massage the gum line, helping to prevent the buildup of bacteria and plaque.
Are Beef Tendons low in fat?
Achilles tendons contain around 18% fat, and are high in protein. Because they contain very little fat compared to items like pig ears or marrow bones, they are an excellent choice for dogs on a weight management plan or those with sensitive stomachs who still need a Long-Lasting boredom buster.
Are these suitable for all dog sizes?
While Beef Achilles Tendons are tough, they are safe for almost all sizes because they soften as they are chewed. They are small enough for medium breeds to manage, yet durable enough to keep large dogs engaged. For smaller dogs, they provide a "marathon" chewing session that offers great Mental Stimulation.

I have a 37kg Briard who turned his nose up for bully sticks recently so I gave this one a try. He loves them and it lasts as long as jumbo bully sticks (20-30min chew)
