Why did you start your business?

I first started my business as I was trying to purchase some matching scrunchies for my sports team one day and I found that there were no affordable ones. So I started to create these scrunchies myself and which eventually led to creating other products such as dog bandanas, tote bags and headbands.

 

How long ago and how?

I started my business in February 2019 mainly using Instagram to sell my products, which has now progressed to creating my own website!

 

What do you sell?

I create and sell products such as scrunchies, dog bandanas, headbands, aprons and am currently starting to make table runners, napkins and tea towels. I create and test all my patterns myself and use these to cut out my fabric. From there I sew my products with extra attention to detail and package them so that they look super cute to post!

 

Where do you sell?

I sell my products on my website as well as through Instagram direct messages. I have also held multiple market stalls across Sydney were I have brought my most popular products for people to see.

 

Tell me about your own dog.

My dog Bodhi is 2 years old and is an extremely smart and gentle Kelpie X. We are not quite sure what breed he exactly is, as he was from the RSPCA and was meant to be a cattle dog, but definitely looks more like a Kelpie! Bodhi inspired me to start creating dog bandanas and constantly models for me. On my website you will see many photos of him posing in my products.

 

What’s the best thing about what you do?

My favourite thing about running my business is meeting new people as well as receiving reviews on how much people love my products, as I enjoy making people happy! One of my other favourite things is that I am constantly getting photos of people’s adorable pets, which always puts a smile on my face.

 

What’s the last song that got stuck in your head?

Honestly, the chorus of White Walls by Macklemore has been stuck in my head for a few days now, as it keeps coming up in videos on my Instagram and TikTok feeds, so I can’t escape it. 

 

Whats the most recent photo on your phone?

My most recent photo on my phone is actually of my dog Bodhi when we went to the park the other day. He seems to think hiding the ball in bushes after fetching is hilarious, so I took a photo of him as he was coming out from hiding the ball.

 

Tea or coffee?

I actually love both tea and coffee, I think it just depends on what mindset I am in. If I’m trying to attempt a health kick I will only drink tea. However as of late I would say I prefer coffee as I’ve definitely needed it to keep me awake!
