About Our Buffalo Training Treats
These teeny tiny heart-shaped buffalo training treats are pawfect for reward-based training, especially when you need to mark behaviours frequently without overfeeding.
Whether you're working on LAT (Look At That) with an anxious dog, shaping new behaviours with a puppy, or using treats for enrichment and scent work – these treats are just the right size.
Made from wild-caught, ethically sourced buffalo in the Northern Territory, they’re a novel protein option that’s ideal for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies. No fillers, no preservatives – just healthy, Australian-made motivation.
Why They’re Great
Because they’re so small, you can reward often without worrying about weight gain – perfect for early training, impulse control games, and high-rep learning.

Common Questions: Buffalo Training Treats
What makes Buffalo a "cleaner" protein than Beef?
Because these buffalo are wild-caught in the NT, they live on a natural diet of native grasses, free from the antibiotics, hormones, or grain-finishing often found in commercial cattle. Nutritionally, buffalo is significantly lower in cholesterol and saturated fat than beef while offering higher levels of iron and B vitamins.
Can I use these for dogs with sensitive skin or allergies?
Yes. Buffalo is considered a "novel" protein, meaning most dogs have not been overexposed to it. This makes it much less likely to trigger an immune response (like itching or redness) compared to common proteins like chicken or beef.
Are these treats suitable for dogs on a weight-management plan?
Absolutely. Buffalo is naturally lean—containing significantly less fat than beef. Since these "Tiny Hearts" are so small, they are the perfect tool for high-repetition training sessions where you need to give dozens of rewards without blowing the daily calorie budget.
How do these help with "Look At That" (LAT) training?
For reactive or anxious dogs, the goal is to create a positive association very quickly. The strong, wild-caught scent of buffalo provides a high-value "distraction" that helps keep your dog's focus on you rather than the trigger, while the small size ensures they don't get full or distracted by heavy chewing.
Product imagery
These photographs are intended as a guide to the product only. In the case of variety packs, items may occasionally be substituted due to stock availability. Any replacement will always be of similar or higher value. Any basket shown in imagery is used for styling purposes only.
Natural variation
All of our products are natural dog treats, meaning each piece is unique. Size, shape, colour and thickness may vary from treat to treat.
Where products are sold by weight, measurements are as accurate as possible; however, slight variation can occur due to the natural nature of the treats.
Ingredients & processing
Our natural dog treats are gently dehydrated to help retain nutrition and are free from additives and preservatives.
Natural aroma
Natural treats can have a strong smell. While we can’t guarantee you’ll love it, your dog usually will. Strong aroma is normal and does not indicate any issue with freshness or quality.
Feeding guidance
Always feed under supervision and ensure fresh drinking water is available. Treats are intended for supplemental feeding only and are not a complete meal.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
My 2yo Staffy loves these. I hide them everywhere for her to find & it's now her favourite game. Also, I put them in ice cubes as a treat on hot days. Honestly she doesn't need an excuse to eat these.
We play hide and seek with these. I hide them and Xena finds them. It keeps her amused for as long as I want to hide them.
My pup is a bit picky and wasnt a fan, but my mum's wolfhound loves them, so no waste!
My 2yo Staffy absolutely loves the buffalo training treats. She even comes running now when I call her because she loves them that much.
